Professional Experience: Instructional Paraprofessional (September 2014-Current) East Brunswick Township HS East Brunswick, New Jersey Responsibilities: Assisting a specific learner (15 years old) with Autism throughout various classes in the special education program at the high school. Using experience with ABA, redirecting problem behavior and shaping appropriate behavior were everyday goals. Prevocational skills were also part of the curriculum and fostering independence during these activities was highly valued. Supervisor: Lois Moskowitz (Head Teacher) Instructional Paraprofessional (May 2014-September 2014) Alpine Learning Group Paramus, New Jersey Responsibilities: Teaching a classroom of autistic learners with the assistance of three other teachers. Each period of the school day is spent in one on one interactions with the learners providing ABA structured teaching strategies to shape appropriate behavior and desired responses. Much of the focus for the age group (13-16 years old) was on prevocational activities. Supervisor: Kate Britton (Principal) Behavioral Technician (September 2013-December 2013) Chesapeake Behavioral Consulting Canton, Maryland Responsibilities: Implementing Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) for an eleven-year-old boy with autism. Assisting the child with school work and acclimating him to social interactions were part of the BIP. Much of the focus was on reform of the child’s social behavior. Supervisor: Doctor Melissa Blanock (Owner) Senior Counselor/ Inclusion Counselor (June 2013-August 2013) Camp Milldale Owings Mills, Maryland Responsibilities: Watched and cared after children between the ages of 4-5 during normal camp hours, providing a fun loving and enriching environment for them. Interacting with and caring for children of all ages with varying levels of autism and the like became a necessity for the aftercare group. Hobbies

I'm a very fun and easy going person. I have considerable experience in teaching a variety of subjects through out my time working with special ed students. I always work on establishing a great rapport with the learners so I can better tailor my teaching towards their level. I have been told many a time that I am a calm, understanding, and very capable teacher. I look forward to working with your child or with a fellow peer.
