Experience
I attended Rutgers for my graduate degree in language education. I'm originally from China, and I attended Guangdong University of Foreign Studies to earn my bachelor's degree in teaching Chinese. I've had experience teaching in the ninth grade Chinese classroom, and I served as a practicum teacher as part of the Rutgers Startalk program. I've also work for Rutgers as a lecturer in Asian language and culture, where I taught students at the college level and at various levels of ability to help them learn Mandarin Chinese. As a tutor, my goal is to create positive and productive sessions for students to leverage my knowledge of language education and my experience, along with my determination and willingness to work hard. I believe learning a new language helps a student open up the world, and I've experienced this firsthand in the US since I am a native Chinese speaker. I hope to bring the same experience to my students. When I have free time, I enjoy tennis, photography, and movies.
