While it started out as helping him do his homework, I have since tutored numerous children throughout the years and have gained so much knowledge. In high school, I tutored both classmates and 4th-graders. In particular, I helped a fourth-grader go from failing most of his classes to getting mostly A's and B's by the end of the year, just by being supportive and patient with him! The part that always makes me want to tutor more is the "aha moment" that every student gets when they finally understand that difficult concept! I truly tutor just to see the smiles of students who are proud of the work they have done.

Hello, I'm Santosh (pronounced Santa plus shhh), and I am a freshman at Case Western Reserve University! Having been born and raised in New Jersey, I was somewhat prepared for the constant icicle that Cleveland is. I am planning on majoring in Cognitive Science, which is the perfect mix of Biology and Psychology. In high school, I took just about every high-level class that I could, which really helped me to hone my studying and problem-solving skills. Throughout my academic career, I have been tutoring children of all ages, a part of my life that has given me so much joy and patience. Outside of school, I dance- a win-win situation because I don't have to worry about working out, and I get to do something I have loved doing for over 13 years! I am currently on a competitive dance team, and we compete nationally. Also, I conduct research with the Cognitive Science Department, as well serve as a chairperson for my school's AMSA chapter. If watching TV and movies was a sport, I would have won a gold medal by now.
