Experience
I'm excited to offer my expertise in writing, reading, editing, grammar and mechanics, American history, public speaking, college essays, English literature, social studies, AP U.S. History, and AP U.S. Government and Politics to a wide range of students. My writing skills stay sharp through my work as a contributor to a sports website, and I'm looking forward to sharing that skill with my students. My experience outside of traditional tutoring includes mentoring children twice a week after school via a non-profit organization that I helped start. I assist them with their classwork and teach them additional life skills. I also have worked as an assistant supervisor for a local parks and recreation department, which means I've led children 5-16 through summer camp and various after-school programs. As an Honors College student at Rutgers University, my classes are generally more advanced than standard classes. I'm well-equipped to tutor high school students in Advanced Placement (AP) U.S. history, composition, and literature, as I have personal experience in preparing for and taking those tests as a student. When I'm not tutoring, I love playing a variety of sports, hunting, camping, fishing, reading, writing, listening to music, watching TV, and playing video games.
