I have been a tutor in the subjects of English, Writing, Science, and Math for over a decade. I have worked with students ranging from 6 years old to college students. In my years as a tutor, I have observed that nearly all students enjoy learning; however, they may not even realize or express interest in the traditional classroom setting. My goal as a tutor is to continuously encourage a student's passion for learning. I work with my students to determine their learning style and find the appropriate method of instruction to meet their needs. Sometimes this may involve drawing, demonstrating, or lecturing. I take into consideration my student's interests to keep lessons fun and engaging. This also helps students to retain the material.I tutor many subjects, including Math (Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Differential Equations, Trigonometry, Multivariable Calculus, Arithmetic, and AP Calculus AB), Science (Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Biology), and Test Prep for the SAT, PSAT, MCAT and GRE.In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, folding origami, and watching science shows on the Discovery Channel.
