I have been teaching and tutoring for as long as I can remember, whether it be simply helping my peers with classwork or playing “School” with my sibling. Since then, I have worked with various local tutoring companies and schools as an experienced tutor. I believe that in order to be successful, everyone needs a little bit of help, a push or just someone to give them a glimpse of their true potential. I am currently a junior at the New York Institute of Technology in the combined BS/DO program, and thus aspire to be a physician one day. As a student in such a competitive field, I have also struggled with certain topics, but with hard work, good study habits and acquiring help when needed, I was able to overcome my struggles and perform well. Hence, I would describe myself as a very patient and open-minded tutor who works with students to help them understand information in ways that best make sense to them. I believe in teaching in a way that the student will be able to understand and apply the information instead of just regurgitating it. I am available to tutor in a variety of subjects, including SAT Math, SAT Critical Reading, SAT Writing, MCAT Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior, college and AP Biology, Microbiology and much more.
