Currently, I am attending Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences. I am working on my biological sciences degree with a minor in chemistry. As I was born and grew up in India, I attended school in a very competitive academic environment. I started tutoring when I was 17. I began by tutoring middle school students in math and science (physics, biology, and chemistry) while I was still in India. After moving to the United States, I began tutoring at a community college in the tutoring centers. I tutored STEM and various levels of mathematics. I also was given the opportunity to hold a few workshops on the basics of college algebra, which allowed me to work with students in a group setting. When I begin a tutoring session, I assess whether or not the student has the proper understandings of the basics of the subject. After that, it is my goal for the student to understand the logic or the why behind the math, so that they can fully comprehend the subject and the concepts they are studying. I strive to always be available to my students should they need extra help and build relationships with each student so that they feel comfortable in the tutoring setting. I have many hobbies, one of which is playing cricket for a club in New Jersey, as well as on the Rutgers Cricket Team.
