As a tutor, I believe that it is imperative for both the teacher and the student to be open to teaching and learning. It is up to the student to work hard and learn from the teacher, and it is up to the teacher to make the effort to learn the student's strengths and weaknesses. As a teacher, I aim to get to know the student, find out what teaching styles work best on him or her, and build each lesson around my student's strengths.In my opinion, to be a tutor is not just about having one's students pass all of their tests. Being a tutor is also about building your learner's confidence, teaching life skills, and preparing your student to navigate the world. It is my mission to have my students confident and prepared to take on the most difficult of tasks. After each study session, I want my students to walk away believing in themselves and knowing that they have the capability to understand even the most challenging content. Every student should believe in himself and herself in academia as well as out in the world.When I am not tutoring, I enjoy reading literature, playing soccer, and reading about historical empires.
